Hear My Harmony Poem by Julian Hill

Hear My Harmony

Rating: 4.8

In my infancy a creation of compassion considered a lecture of love.

Its familiarity exposed experiences of asserting and accepting

affection where unconditional relations endure and mature.

Old regards will always be there while new born bonds begin a journey of care.

Through his honesty I heard his harmony.

Inside a tender roaring fire place host home to hope and health.

Keys and chords compose and orchestrate without form.

Through hazy windows colours dance a symphony, released by a rainbow

reining across an unpredictable sunny storm.

Where confusion glimpses clarity I hear my harmony.

Without ingratiation we idle upon its imperceptibly touch.

Radiance potently permeates all darkness, a distraction from

distress holds us in its clutch.

Illumination penetrates offering cover of comfort and calm.

When emotion hurts dear, I hear your harmony.

Together we acknowledge loves form, to learn its sway to stir and

steer.

The creator of my compassion confirmed it can conquer, once lit love

communicably persists in perpetuum.

Time ticks quick and we will depart, do not be distressed, the whole

of my heart is already yours to sustain.

Through my humanity you will hear my harmony.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this around a year after the loss of my father, a University Reader in Philosophy and Theology. It's about how a personality is never lost and is always passed to those close. It is also a personal story about how despite the pain and confusion of my loss, he gave me so much and in turn I can give to others what he passed to me, even when I am lost.
