Heard! Poem by Arely Corral

I have something to say..
I wanna be heard...
How loud do I have to be?
In order to be heard..
I've been crying out loud...
to the top of my lungs...
Time and time again...
Yet I haven't been heard...

It's a matter of urgency....
and I gotta be heard...
I want the nation to hear me..
from the west to the east coast..
No one is listening...
so I haven't been heard...

I'm tired of screaming..
and still no one hears...
the matter that knocks me
and brings me to tears...
Its cause no one ever listens
to those that cant speak....
the ones of unimportance...
to those that are weak...

I had something to say...
that was somewhat important...
But with no one to listen
my time has came up...
and still till this date...
i haven't been heard...!
