Heart Poem by Lynnie Kim

Heart

When I gave you away,
why return and beg to stay?

Then I locked you up in hold,
why accuse me of turning cold?

What do you want from me! ?
I’m neither your master nor your slave,
why insist on exhuming this grave?

Goodbye my heart I’m setting you free,
you were never made a part of me

But if you can’t love like you’ve never been hurt,
I’ll trap you and cage you and hold you inert
