Heart Ache Poem by Orlando Edwin

Heart Ache

Rating: 5.0

When the heart aches, it pains
Wishing for the bright days, no rains
Spotless with no stains
wishing for only love, nothing else to remain.

It hurts when the one you love
Pokes your emotional wound with a knife and shoves
That mistake you made now becomes your cross
Though before you have burdened theirs but now a greater loss

You want to cry but tears can't find the strength
You are being beaten up inside but you don't worry about health
Wishing you could turn back the hands of time
To take away the torment which now pounds your mind

May peace find your heart before all is left is your soul
May not my face be disfigured by the appearance of a mole

But may love still find you and give you a never slipping hold.
