The heart within the chest just pumps the blood,
But ‘heart’ stands for mind’s functions entire,
Especially those deep and moral ones!

‘Heart’ stands for mental actions and feelings;
‘Heart’ represents the inner, real man –
His character influenced by divine.

Heart refers to all emotions and will;
And ‘conscience’ telling what is right from wrong;
Man’s duty prime is keep always heart pure.

Both good and bad arise from heart of man;
God sees man’s heart and knows its secrets all;
The heart can err unless properly trained!

The laws of God afill the righteous heart,
that stays afree of every sin and vice;
A foul, a mouth reflects corrupt, a heart!

Love God by heart, forgiving brother’s faults;
God judges man by seeing state of heart;
‘The pure of heart are blessed and shall see God! ’
