Heart Once Broken
Heart once broken
Cracks remain
Words not spoken
Memories retained
A mosaic of experiences
Glued together
Haphazard patterns
Heart knows, no better
It keeps beating
Keeps going on
New hopes on
New horizons
But eyes look forlorn
Why does my heart
Feel all the pains
When life from times past
Can't be reclaimed
Why do I fear
To start anew
No trust,
And no faith
Nothing right
Nothing true
