The pain of a heart in love
Not receiving the same in return
Hurting more now
then if it breaks
Yearning for a closeness
the touch of his hands
sensation of his breath
speaking the words
of his true thoughts in how he feels
Could his heart
really belong to another
hoping for the truth
that he really loves you
knowing this fantasy is false
not wanting to be alone
like so many years before
torn down by words
teased for your beliefs
as if who you are does not matter
screaming inside
just wanting to be heard
yet knowing no one is there to listen
little knives in the back
can never be removed
Souls light dimming away quickly
This is the last time
walking out on a ledge
the heart can't take it anymore
slowly crashing down
wanting to jump
release this pain inside
stopping the heart is the cure
will you be missed
or forgotten is a second
after the body is found on the floor
heart stops beating
breath is gone
no more feeling
no more pain
finally released
from your own torture
