Heaven On Earth Poem by Francis Duggan

Heaven On Earth

Rating: 5.0

Heaven on Earth is for the privileged few
That's something quite well known not anything new
And millions are living in their Earthly Hell
With only sad stories of their lives to tell
Though to the scythe of the Reaper we all have to fall
There is no such a thing as a fair go for all
Just another cliche we've often heard before
Without foundation just that and nothing more
Poverty nowadays is to be found everywhere
And millions are homeless in the big World out there
And millions are hungry in the refugee camps of the World today
In the conditions they live in they do not have a say
Those in Heaven on Earth are in a minority
In a World where millions are living in dire poverty.
