Heaven Waits Poem by Connie K Cameron

Heaven Waits

I know that you are my best friend
And that reigns true until the end
Bound as one we will grow old
Our lives entwined while hands we hold
Your body warm, stay next to me
Our eyes see more that others see
Our minds climb high, though we are still
God lifts us with such love we're filled
Poor in being, richly devoted
Day by day our lives unfolded
One day we will meet at the gate
Just for us two, Heaven waits
