Heavn Will Open Tonight Poem by Jimmy Burrows

Heavn Will Open Tonight

Rating: 4.8

To be born of a virgin
With no father; no son
You see as a sweet daughter
That good logic doesn't follow:

By this stage in life
I think you may need some

Well today I lost a mother
She gave me the best head start
And what I now share with my brother
Is just the warm blood from her heart

My story, it's unfinished, but it's
High time it was told
I'll miss that sweet mother
'least she can't feel the cold

Following in the footsteps
Of nature's rules and laws
One thing I feel for certain
For her they will open heaven's doors

Now I'd quip to a lover
Around here it never rains
But so often you'll notice
Well, it quite simply pours

For all I don't know right now
I don't feel that warm
Truely I don't know anything
I can't see through a storm

The universe isn't a cruel one
Yet The universe doesn't mind
Cos The universe is impartial
And her affairs lay with mankind

Goodbye grandma
The best mother of a mother
The other one I love is you
My beloved and devoted mum
