Hell Poem by David Hunter

Hell

Having an unbearable nightmare,
No, not one, but countless!
I found myself in hell; the pit of fire,
I screamed at the top of my lungs, useless.

Everything seemed to burn,
Air full of smoke and dust.
Like a desert, it looks the same everywhere you turn,
No light, but darkness.

Eventually, I would wake,
But the dream lasted for eternity.
Full with fear and anxiety,
I prayed aloud for my sake.

There was no land to take refuge,
Only the endless sea of fire and smoke.
No ship was sailing; an agonizing deluge,
Summer-time heat will not leave you broke.

Molten souls or conquering demons,
They laughed and screamed-still screaming.
These monsters are unmerciful,
They will beat you senseless so painful.
