Hell Flames Will Never... Poem by Anabel Anguiano

Hell flames will never turn off,
I should have know better
for I've been living there for so long.

What a fool I've been all this years,
to think that someday I could extinguish my fears,
maybe hell flames will always be there,
eating your insides as they advance...
But don't let it eat you, don't let it expand,
hide them beneath you, leave them behind.
Maybe I am not giving, the greatest advice
but what else could you expect
from someone like me?
That feeds her heart with pain,
and baths her soul with grief?
