It all started with “hello”
It continued with a question
And furthered with an answer
On and on
Until questions ran out
And answers were already known
That's when everything seems balanced
No more questions to be answered
No more answers to be given
But what happens when that balance is shifted?
What happens when there is doubt in those answers?
Which had once brought smiles
Now bring tears
What happens when there are more questions
Than answers?
What happens when that joyful “hello”
Turns into a sorrowful “goodbye”?
What if there is no “goodbye”
But just a separating of paths
A splitting of ways
Those questions that brought laughter?
Now bring shouts of anger
Those answers that once gave you butterflies?
Now makes your fists clench in fury
There comes a time in life
When you can't keep that balance
When the answers no longer bring joy
But sorrow
You couldn't help it
Because it was always destined to happen
So just let it go
Say “goodbye”
