Her Body In My Soul Poem by Dale Mullock

Her Body In My Soul

Night time scattered star trails,
Lead me to red lacquered nails,
Embedded in my spirit and blood,
I just knew you understood,
My body, my head, my heart, my all to you,
I am forever bolstered by soulful sinew,
Heaven’s glitter rained and pearls fell,
Lapping at my toes with sand and seashell,
I put it to my ear and heard you calling,
Looked up and realised it was you falling,
All around me you could be found,
You showed me love does always surround,
Picking you up, I place you in my top pocket,
Close to the rhythm of my heart, so you rock it!
Pushing the rushing beat within my soul,
The love inside it does cajole,
Heating the repeating tingle within my body,
That has always enlivened me.
