Her Hesitation Poem by ABRAHAM AMANING

Her Hesitation

What if I had two faces?
Maybe then I could jump these fences
Reaching out to you but leaving no traces
Even if there were clues, it won't lead to those cases
What if we could trade places?
Would you help me get these messages down my heart?
Or better still sell me like some piece of art
Let our eyes close, let our spirit long
But no matter what may our love remain strong
What happens if my hair turns grey?
Would I become his next prey?
These questions I ask but all I hear is you telling hey
Though the breeze might echo our parting wave
Yet in my solitude I will remain brave
Promise me that after the fights you would stay
Holding me close and leading me along the way
If you ask me why these dark road I pave
I must confess it would lead you to the brightest cave
You've made me hope, so please don't say it's too late
The heavens wouldn't bear the grief that might descend their gate
I believe we were made for this play
So please don't wait for another day
Even under the ocean tide
You would see it, because my love won't hide
Sorry but I got one face
That would leave an eternal trace
To tell the legend of a love you erased.
