Though her child is autistic
Each cell of him, a human being
And it was really very tragic
That someone could be so hating
Spiteful and intolerant
To write that dreadful letter
Seething with malicious rant
Addressed to the boy's mother
Suggesting to her callously
What only a dark heart could say
To euthanize him is the remedy
A quick fix to put him away
I cannot for the life of me
Perceive such venomous words
Poison darts that can pierce deeply
To cause the pain that it accords
For autism is no crime we punish
With death or hate or bigotry
All children are gifts we cherish
To care and to love, that's humanity!
