Her Subliminal Beauty Poem by Govind Ramakrishnan

Her Subliminal Beauty

Rating: 4.1

Albeit
On canvas,
Kali's lidded eyes
Protruding tongue
And multiple hands
Bearing divine weapons
Used to send shivers
Down my spine

That was then...

With passage of time
And new-found perspective,
I've unearthed
her subliminal beauty.

Her meditative eyes
Now offer comforting solace
And her warrior-Ike hands
Offer needed protection

This is indeed one of your finest, Govind! Beautiful, and so profound. My favorite Goddess from Kolkata! That powerful stance can invoke awe and inspire deep courage.. Very, very nice work.. Vidya mami
