Her Tears Fall Out Poem by Reekrit Serai

Her Tears Fall Out

While I see this dirt path
Lining up along this road,
I turn with the bend
Next to a crumbling home;

A year, it feels,
Has gone by when I smiled,
But a year I need
To fly down to the isle.

In the channel
Where deep is the ocean,
A ship, dried up,
Swims to the coast;

The isle of my smile,
The smile of the sky,
Between the rocks it is,
Between the rocks, lost.

Humiliated, and left
Alone to herself,
The little girl dances
In the old, crumbling house;

The day is now up,
And night descends;
The sky turns darker
As her tears fall out.
