Here Lies The Fallen Poem by Jessica Elizondo

Here Lies The Fallen

Here lies the fallen.
Some chose not to quit,
but some chose to run.
Here lies the fallen
who see no more of the sun.
I was once one of them. fighting for
'my' right instead of for the wrong.
Where happiness was something
i struggled hard to get,
not something that came easily.
Here lies the fallen,
The ones who fell from grace.
Who bet on chances,
and let them fly out the window.
Who gave themselves to the wrong people,
instead of the One.
Here lies the fallen,
who live in their own reality,
who lie and hate.
Here lies the fallen,
maybe a memior on their grave?
But what it doesn't say is how they fell.
Here lies the fallen..
and what they fell for.
I was once among them.
But someone I pushed aside was there.
someone brought me back to life.
He brought me out of my grave.
Jesus, saved me.
And made me realize
what a fool I've been.
He saved me from the darkness,
and made me see into the light.
I'm blessed and many times
I have forgotten..
There lies the fallen...
but not here.
