Heroes Poem by Weldon Davis

Heroes

There are no heroes anymore
Only villains
No men of knowledge
Culture
To lead our children

There are no heroes anymore
Only swingers, playas, pimps, and
Prostitutes

Love has become vilified
To love someone is
Weak, pathetic, and stupid

There are no heroes anymore
No teachers
Enlightenment has been burned
The truth is too horrible

Political correctness has
Blurred the lines

50 shades of gray today
Is a romance

As a guy like me sits
In a trance
In a cell

This is hell (At least for me)
Where all the heroes
Are dead or in jail
As the villains
Run free
