Hide My Heart Poem by Mysia Hayling

Hide My Heart

Rating: 5.0

I hide my heart where you can't find it
I know if I hand it over to you
It will be crushed and badly wounded

I am a soldier in the army in the field of passion
My weapons are in arms, no surrender
I want to see the fruits of my labour
Deep within the ocean a love I long to savour

Walk pass my blades don't want to bruise you
My inclinations are sharp, my mind thick like a shark
I see what is lurking in the shadows,
Don't want the high and lows,
Let the trumpet sound the song
That pounds my heart to follow.
