Higgledy Piggledy Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

Higgledy Piggledy

A lonesome little Piglet woke up one day, and
sought some friends with whom to play..
He walked around the neighborhood, and searched,
and searched as best he could..
No one was home, or they wouldn't come out,
he felt so bad he began to pout..
But then he heard some noise somewhere,
and it was floating thru the air..
He followed the sounds that were happy and bright,
then he saw some Piggies, and was filled with delight..
Confusion came to his watchful eye, the Piggies
were playing in his very own sty..
He learned a lesson that wonderful day, you needn't
go far to have fun and play..
From that time on he never did roam,
everything he needed was right at home..
He was happy..
