High As The Sky Poem by Luna Moon

I saw you and then
I remember today.
Though I begged and I pleaded,
You wouldn't go away.
And when I saw you,
you were as high as the sky.
And still I kept crying,
Oh why, oh why?
How could you not see,
How much I loved you?
Back then things were different,
Back then, who knew?
And when it was over,
My heart was so broken.
Yet I wouldn't take back,
A word that was spoken.
But then you were gone,
So very far away.
And despite how I missed you,
I was still glad to say
That you weren't around,
And my heart could heal.
Yet the memories of you,
Still seemed much to real.
But now you've destroyed it,
And what can I do?
You're still in the dark,
And I can't rescue you.
But it's too late now,
You're gone and so am I.
But I wish, how I wish,
You weren't always so high.
