High Court Injustice Poem by Matthew Holloway

High Court Injustice

Rating: 5.0

Here we witness through each court
through the corridors of injustice
the powers that be and makers of law
fail the people in every way
soft on crime, softer on criminals
where the victim pays the higher price
human rights scream the guilty
no comment those without innocence
the anger and resentment raise up
the royal pleasure is actually that
punishment kept at arms length
rehabilitation a fancy word typed
atop government memos
for statistical promotional advantage
the corridors of injustice
tainted scales swing against
all that's good in favour of nothing
good or soul serving
