High Week Lowick Poem by Kris Viscardini

High Week Lowick

You can slip it on in Slipton
and take it off in Skipton
or hoik it up in Hawick
or trim your wick in Lowick

Just go straight on to Drayton
there'll be people there to wait on
the walk will make you thinner
but then you scoff your dinner!

You can wear hot pants in Hants
and get ants in them in Northants
but anywhere you'll be liking
the joy and peace of hiking

You can wave your joyful banner
whether Chris or Mary or Anna
rejoicing in the yields
of glorious hills and fields!
