Him Poem by angel lockheart

Him

Rating: 5.0

</>Running from my problems,
Running from my fears,
Trying to get away,
From the death coming near.

Running so very fast,
A meteor from the sky,
My muscles aching,
My heart racing,
Trying to go back in time.

My feet pound into the dirt,
My hair whips at my face,
The wind slapping my ice chilled skin,
My heart running a life long race.

As the time passes,
Minutes of my life slip away,
To escape this pain,
And everything that it has slain.

Soon I see the horizon,
The sun melting away,
And a rush of speed impales me,
Running through my veins,
As the colors brighten,
My breathing heightens,
Because soon I will be free.

As seagulls soar above me,
The grass turns to sand and stone,
And the live fire in the sky,
Reflects on the birds who roam.

I start to get dizzy,
As the edge comes at me fast,
Knowing that if I jump,
My world will come to an end.

It seems the choice has been made for me,
As I can not seem to stop,
My feet skid, my heels dig,
But I can not stop my slip.

How I wish I could change my fate,
To steal a minute in time,
I pray, I scream,
But no ones here to save me.

Then out of nowhere a hand comes,
And wraps around my waist,
Pulling me back against his strength,
And the birds have stopped-
Frozen in time.

I look up into ice blue eyes,
Turning black as coal,
& his breath is rasping out,
His body a heated furnace,
That at once begins to melt my heart,
And all I can do
Is stare.

My back against his chest,
His arm around my waist,
Steals my breath, steals my heart,
That has stopped its life long race.

His hand starts to caress my skin,
As his arms clamps an iron hold,
As if as long as he’s alive,
He never will let go.

His soft hair brushes my cheek,
And I reach up a hand to touch it,
Amazed that something that looks like a statue,
Could turn out to be so real.

As my lips try to form the words,
My heart is so desperate to reveal,
His eyes captured on mine,
Searching my heart, meeting my soul,
My breath stalls, as his head bents,
His intent so real,
That I can’t defend,
And I wait in endless agony,
As his lips whisper on mine,
And my hand reaches for his head,
It weaves its way through his chocolate hair,
Wanting to get closer,
Never being too near.

Absolutely amazing! I actually found myself trying to dictate the song.. Then I ended up singing it in a very opera tone... It is VERY well written and I like the whole plot!
