Him A Yogi We Call Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

A man's mind mastered and well-led,
When but in his Self is seated,
Free from longings and cravings all,
A yogi yoked can we him call.

yadaa vi-niyatam chittam
aatmani eva avatishthate|
nisprhah sarva-kaamebhyah
yukta iti uchyate tadaa||Geeta 6.18 ||

Mind is hard to control and it need not be. It has to be mastered and well-led. At core a mind is nothing but flow of thoughts and emotions (vrtti pravaahah) . Disassociate with these thoughts and watch them as a witness without passing judgment.
