Himself Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Himself

Leaves

Leaves surrounded him day by day.
He didn't know where to look and what to say.
His mind replete
With thoughts complete now, he had something to say.

He told the leaves his quandary.
He didn't know who he was.
He asked the leaves to help him.
That he did enjoy.

The leaves told him something valuable.
They told him to be himself.
They surrounded him with their beauty.
They surrounded him with himself.

Flush with green leaves without having to leave the forest of tall tree's lives in peace with each bush.. iip
