Hindu Culture Poem by Asit Kumar Sanyal

In Hindustan
we have religious Gurus in hundreds
monks in thousands
and priests in lacs
they give us morality, ethics
tell us about religious laws
and preferred life style
we respect them, value them
but they are not above the nation
and not more important than
national interest
we are not fanatical people
like other religions
If they cheat us or the country
We never forgive them
we lodge FIR in police station
compel the administration
to put them into jail
and restrict from coming out on bail.
It's our culture
if you look behind
you will find several popular gurus
gone behind the bar
and few are still in the prison
Asharam Bapu and Baba Ram Rahim
are the example.
