His Wife Does All The Work Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

His Wife Does All The Work

That's what the guy from Bucktown said
smiling that smug grin of his
you know the type
prosperous suburbanite

I imagined his wife cleaning up
after him and the bratty kids
feeding the cat and dog
and doing laundry

What a lucky woman!
Does she realize the blessings
bestowed on her by a grinning
god - omnipotent and kind!

Sounds like that guy better learn to cook and do laundry. She's bound to wise up eventually... Don
