Hold On And Keep Smiling Poem by Jacqueline Dougherty

Hold On And Keep Smiling

Hold on fast to what's now.
Don't let it slip through your fingers
but keep a steady grasp on the line
because today's fish is strong
and enduring your strength as well.
Things may be tough,
but don't give up so soon
for it's only just begun.
Keep that smile going
and happiness for everyone,
not just you.
Life is tough,
one everlasting battle
with some winning
and some losing.
But keep your chin up and always smile
because it'll be ok in the end.
Stay happy and be true,
and hold on to all that's special.
Keep your hand steady
while you hold on with all your might.
Just hold on, and keep smiling.
