Hold On To Me Poem by neha raj singh

Hold On To Me

i wish to sleep embraced in your arms,
hold me till you drive away my fears.
let not the morning come,
for it will separate me from your warmth,
whisper the lullaby of love in my ears,
for in your voice lies the strength of my soul.
let the moonlight purify us as we lay,
for in her light lies the balm of all sores.
hold on to me, never let me go.
i see my escape, i see my tunnel.
i fear the end, for then life will be over.
i fight with time, she puts me in a maize,
where there is hidden ages of sorrow and pain.
as i lay beside you i hear the clock ticking,
but my dream comes to take us into my world.
where we lie together, with no constraints,
we float in the essence of nature.
tall grasses, wild flowers, yellow butterflies,
splashing water, clear skies,
just you and me.
never let me go, for i cannot go yet.
yet they come for me every time i close my eyes.
i weep, i i scream, i beg,
mum i am to them.
they are ripping me off bit by bit.
hold on to me, never let me go.
your strength, your warmth leaves me.
i live as long as you live, in your heart in your soul.
devour me but i say my good byes,
for i will never awaken, tomorrow will never come.
yet my love, hold me to your heart,
for i live as long as you live.
be not guilty as i leave you,
as my form whithers.
pain is not what i wish to gift you,
as my heart is what i leave for you.
remember me fondly, for i will see you.
feel me in your warmth, for i will touch you.
hear me in your voice, for i will whisper is you ears -
' hold on to me, never let me go '.
