Holding Her Poem by Jacob Helzer

Holding Her

Rating: 3.5

Another sleepless night in this sleepy town,
I want to turn this world upside down.
Show you the things I know you want,
While never being one to flaunt.
You never seem to leave my mind,
It just feels like i'm left behind.
For yet so close, but far away,
Tonight your mine, for just a day.
For when daylight shines it's morning glow,
You must go back to him I know.
But I will be here waiting,
Contemplating.
For when he leaves you like he will,
I will find you lying still.
Pick you up and hold you tight,
Never letting go, not tonight.
