Holy Ghost Poem by Ol Buddy Jones

I failed as a man, this I now see
That's why I'm hurting and down on my knees
So I asked God 'why are thing's this way'?
The answer came easy, as I read the Bible that day
The life that I lived led me astray
Down the wrong path day after day
Troubles in life were there constantly
Because I never let Jesus inside of me.

He wasn't on the list of those that I loved
And that wasn't acceptable with our Father above
I prayed for forgiveness for all that I've done
I asked to be filled with the love of His Son
I picked up my Bible and continued to read
I could feel God's love growing in me
I was unsure at first I really didn't know
But my love for Jesus is beginning to grow
The words' of the Bible show how it's done
Now I am filled with the love of His Son
There's one special gift that I value the most
And that's being filled with the Holy Ghost
