The heart pounds in longing
The eyes ashamed of the sun
The feet at war with the earth
And the wind at discord with thy face.
Far into the deep unknown
I journey towards a mystery
Were darkness cracks a smile
And gloom the companion of many
I am unperturbed, relentless as they come
For I seek an abode
Of lush vast plains
Watered by the dew of Hermon

Why is my soul vexed?
Why the rebellion in my heart?
Forget thou thy journey's cause?
Faint ye in the face of adversity?
Cower now at the bank of Jordan?
Be strong oh my heart, forget not that which we crave
Smell the air from Cannan
And taste the fruits of her garden
She awaits you earnestly
"Come and lie with me my love"
We are on the path of homewards bound

I lie on my belly
My feet surrender to the earth
My left friend came to my rescue
With his help I began to crawl
For I was a hairs breathe from the plains
His help couldn't sustain me.
So I cried
From my emptiness came forth abundance
As hope put me on its back
Words formed but no sound
Awestruck was I, for the plains did I feel
My countenance was lifted
For faith waited, to accompany me home
