Becoming Alive

Home Away From Home

Home is a safe place to rest
To be yourself and not put to the test
but home in this day and age is not best
home is a place to cry and weep
sometimes it hurts to even sleep
where has the time gone
when home was where love ran deep?
Now is the time to find home away from home
in the arms of your best friend
or the embrace of a lover
the laugh of a joke
or the tears of healing
