Home For Nuts Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Home For Nuts

Remember the days,
When people refused to admit...
Their dysfunctions to have them,
They preferred,
To be thought of as mavericks.
How quick and fast times have changed.
Today...
Misfits rule the World.
And those who refused to admit,
Being dysfunctional.
Preferring to be thought,
As your average maverick.
Are now called conservatives.
Loving to have acquired entitlements.
Supporting to endorse,
Those defined to be out of their minds.
Perceiving to believe themselves to be,
The chosen ones.
And...
Who knows?
They just may be.
Since the Earth,
Seems to have become a home for nuts.
