Home Ward Poem by Ella Veyes

Home Ward

Back and forth, forth and back,
Feedback from a different track.
Subliminal insanity, this feels like home to me

Sink or swim, swim or sink,
Leave me alone or pour me a drink.
Make it seem more beautiful, who am I supposed to be?

Touch and go, go and touch,
Nothing feels like far too much.
You’re lying when you hate me, I’ll wait for you to break

Mine or yours, yours or mine,
Breathing takes up too much time.
You’re real in the dream, I only dream when I’m awake

Rise and fall, fall and fall,
Heaven’s just another wall.
I don’t like it here anymore, this feels like home to me.
