Hope Poem by Bob Axell

Hope

I havn't lived that long
But I've learned a lot
So much knowledge I've earned
So much I've forgot

So much time wasted
So much foods tasted
Both big meals and pastries
And olives and oil.

Already I sit by the porch and dig in dirty soil
Fish in a small boat and roast perch in tin foil
If life seems meaningless and you start to choke
All that's needed, is a little bit of hope.
