Hope Poem by Lilyann Monahan

Please don't tease me and give me hope,
I don't trust you anymore,
Please don't get my heart thinking,
I can't take another closed door.
I am finally feeling I have some control,
I need it to protect this one.
If I can't protect myself,
How can I trust someone?
I'm far from perfect, I know its true,
But I've been working very hard to be better,
I've done every type of therapy,
that you can't learn in a newsletter.
