Hope Poem by Elizabeth Hefty

Hope

Rating: 5.0

It flickers
- fragile
struggling for breath
deep in the shadows of my chest.
It flickers
- wan and pale
striving to melt the ice
clutching at my heart
running through my veins.
It flickers
despite all
- immortal
a garnet ember glowing weakly
hidden from me
yet,
its light visible still
to eyes who wish to see.
Hope

" its light visible still to eyes who wish to see. Hope" Hope is only seen by those wish to do so! Great poem.
