The sultry day to its end creeps
The air is lulled, silence is deep
The sun sinks in clours dull n drab
The mundane, the trite's cuel grab
Not a bough moves, no rustle in leaves
A lone bird sings in drone as if grieves
Some bats though flit past the sky
And a wisp of cloud lazily floats by
Slowly the darkness swallows all grey
No signs remain of what is called a day
Lost In the crowd of random memories
Gazing on the stars musings never cease
Its cup of mystery the night spills
Tales of yon haunt and my heart fills
With gloom subtle, serenely sweet
Singing the song of life in muted beats
Anon, I see a tiny dancing light
Flickering, twinkling to my delight
Some star has fallen from the sky?
Oh, no, it is a glowing firefly!
How hope in the mirk of sorrow glows
When life's thrown to misery and woes
Nature steps forward, gives us a lift
And offers her graceful sacred gifts
O my heart! Why ye in sorrow roll?
Hark! Unlucky is a hopeless soul
Who hath no believe in divine bliss
Falls and down tumbles in an abyss

What a beautiful piece! Lovely imagery to depict a sense of gloom, out of which emerges the glow of hope. A sure 10
