Hope For Him
O friend! Hope for Him whilst you live!
If your bonds are but an emptiness
Understand the prose of your Maker;
If you break the bonds of slavery
This day shall be mankind’s slaughter;
For in life we know this loves me
As I am a friend who bellows forth
Echoes in the valley of your desire.
It is but an empty dream, that the soul shall
Have union with Him
Because it has passed from the body.
