Hopeless
What’s the point?
What’s the use?
Why care?
Why dream?
Why hope?
Why get excited over something that could happen
Just to be let down when it doesn’t
Why plant your hopes with seeds of trees
That will just be chopped down
Why send your dreams to soar on wings of eagles
That will just be shot down or caged
