Hopeless Gods Poem by Jennifer English

Hopeless Gods

She's argued with her sister
Made the harsh truth real
Again it was brought to her attension
They had no idea of what she hides.

She has quite a few friends
Few things in common
She's the one with no cool traits
She speaks her mind untill someone gets hurt.

She lives on pain and cuts prove that
Tears are a sign of falure
She doesn't know how to love
Her life is a big show to the Gods.

She works hard to be good
But her mind can't take it anymore
It shuts down to save her the pain
This fragile peace of hopelessness knows she has hardly anything in common with those around her.
