Hot Flashes Poem by Lauren Coles

Hot Flashes

Most people love people for their body,
I wish someone would see inner beauty,
I would write all the poetry in the world for you,
My words can start a fire that my body can't,
I want to make you have hot flashes when you walk into a room,
I want to melt your sad smile into a happy smile on a cloudy day by making you laugh,
Sure making love will be different for me,
But I don't care,
Someone is just out there waiting for me,
I'm tried,
I wish people would stop playing games with my heart,
I can't wait to give someone hot flashes and hopefully join me on my journey for social justice for anyone who has a disability.
