How A Poet Loves Part10 (The Birthday) Finale

Today is the day my beautiful Sun has my beautiful son
I’ll give him my name
She’ll give him her eyes
I’ll give him my looks
She’ll give him her smile
And what a beautiful smile it is
I can stare at those amazing eyes for hours
So proud to soon be a parent of a child that is ours
The doctor tells her it time to push
*push*Push*PUsh*PUSh*PUSH*
And then… the room grows silent
Quiet… and the look on the doctor’s face is confused and strange
But the expression on my girl’s face has told what the doctor fails to explain
Noooooo! ! !
You must be mistaken
Are you telling me that my son didn’t make it?
The room starts spinning my girl starts screaming
The doctor brings in his whole entire team and
Instruments and instructs them to begin procedures
I begin to pray “lord right now we need ya”
“Clear again clear again clear again” and again and again
“The patient is not responding”
Resume continue keep on don’t stop
It will work it will work but it’s not
It didn’t… my heart is completely torn
It was going to be his birthday first day on earth day
Now he don’t even get to be born
I love you so much son and I always will
There’s a permanent scare that’ll never heal
I grab my Love… I squeeze to make sure she too won’t leave me
She holding me even tighter tears pour like Niagara Falls
The room collapses around me the ceiling first then the walls
Then the floor
We loving each other more than ever before
Both of our hearts are sore
So to put them together is the only possible way the pain will ever go away
Today… was suppose to be my son’s Birthday
Happy Birthday
