How could you forget

53I saved you as a baby
I had 8 long years with you
But sadly the time ended
I didnt want to leave you
You were there through thick and thin
You held me when i cried
You hugged me when i was sad
The only escape i had was you
Half my heart went leaving your side
I wish i could have you
I wish i could hold you
Not a moment goes by your not in my head
The reason i was ok was you
The reason i lived each day was you
I had a smile because of you
I built my life around you
I cant move on without you
My heart is hurt and frozen in time
what hurts the most is i think you moved on
I never forget you
But you seem to have forgotten
You dont know who i am
I dont understand how that love has vanished
i saved you
loved you
and made you my world
How could you have forgotten
How did you forget

Poem of the Day

poet Rupert Brooke

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
