How cruel this in which we live,
Where humans take more than they give:
For it is now a corporate weed,
On which our politicians feed,
And how what hypocrites are they,
Who call a night, when it is day;
Whose truths are but a mirror false,
Enough to make the mind convulse.
Man masks his own morality,
Oft blind to what he cannot see,
Whose savage arts he justifies,
And feigns thro’ war to be so wise,
Bright Mars shall have His bloody way,
And so bring murder and decay,
Upon those who deserve it least;
Like wolves on Nature’s flesh they feast,
To dwell with death, and bring despair,
And kill with neither thought nor care,
If for oil, wheat, or water,
Grow the bitter fruits from slaughter,
Yet what is man, a slave to war,
In worship of, and nothing more.

it is difficult to live here really at times, I like it. I invite you to read my poems and comment.
