How do we know what a monster is?
were we told or do we just know
are they made up or are they as real as a crow
how do we know what a monster is?

what I've seen of darkness I can say that there are evil things
most are bad but others are bader
they make us sadder and sadder
but how do we know where those things live?

do they live inside the closet or under the bed
or do they live in the darkness of the vengefulness of the seas
people say that they are the keys
the keys to hell the deep dark fiery red

all of this ignorance, all of these questions
it makes me wonder how much we really know about monsters
we don't really know what they are or where they live
so how can we claim to know what evil is
